The Season I'm Learning to Slow Down

If you've been following Lolly & Laddie for a while, you've probably noticed that life has looked a little different over the past year.

Becoming a mom has changed me in ways I never expected.

Before having our son, I was always focused on what was next. The next launch. The next collection. The next goal. There was always another email to answer or another task to cross off my list.

Now, I'm learning that sometimes the most important moments aren't the big ones.

They're the bedtime stories that somehow take twice as long as they need to. The little hands reaching up to be picked up. The giggles that come from absolutely nothing. The quiet mornings before the rest of the world wakes up.

This past year has taught me that it's okay if the laundry waits another hour or if one more email gets answered tomorrow. These little moments won't last forever.

Owning a small business has always been a huge part of who I am and I genuinely love what I do. But becoming a mom has given me a new perspective on why I work so hard in the first place.

It's not just about growing a business.

It's about building a life where family comes first.

I hope that, years from now, my son doesn't remember how many orders we shipped or how many collections we launched. I hope he remembers that I was there. That I sat on the floor and played with him. That I read one more book before bed. That I paused work to watch him learn something new.

Running Lolly & Laddie has allowed me to experience so many of those moments, and I'll never take that for granted.

So if you've noticed us taking an afternoon off here and there, closing the warehouse for a family milestone, or celebrating the little things with all of you, it's because we're trying to live the same message we hope our products become a part of.

Life moves quickly.

The emails will still be there tomorrow. The dishes will eventually get done. There will always be another launch to plan.

But today's little moments only happen once.

Thank you for following along with our journey, for cheering on our little family, and for reminding me every day that behind every order is another family making memories of their own.

I'm so grateful we're doing this together.
