May is Mental Health Awareness Month and this one feels especially personal for us.
Behind every business page, every order packed, every launch day, and every smiling photo, there are real people carrying real things. Joy and stress. Gratitude and overwhelm. Hope and fear. Sometimes all in the same day.
Our owner has walked through her own seasons of mental health struggles. Not the kind that fit neatly into a caption. The kind that reshape you. The kind that teach you how to survive on the hard days and savor the good ones when they come. Those experiences didn’t stay in the past. They live quietly in how this brand leads with grace, patience, and empathy.
Mental health isn’t just something that affects “some people.” It affects all of us in different ways and at different times. It shows up in exhaustion that doesn’t go away. In anxious thoughts that won’t slow down. In feeling disconnected from yourself. In carrying grief longer than you expected. In putting on a brave face because everyone depends on you.
And yet, so many of you still show up. For your families. For your jobs. For your friends. For your kids. Even on days when your own cup feels empty.
This month isn’t about fixing everything. It’s about making space for honesty. It’s about letting rest count as strength. It’s about checking on the friend who always says they’re “fine.” It’s about reminding yourself that asking for help is not failure, it’s courage.
At Lolly & Laddie, we don’t just care about the clothes your babies wear. We care about the parents behind them. The caregivers. The hearts that keep households running. The people who keep going even when it’s heavy.
You matter here. On your best days and your hardest ones.
With love,
Lolly & Laddie Boutique
