April is Autism Acceptance Month, and here at Lolly & Laddie, it feels important to pause and honor the families in our community whose lives are touched by autism every single day.
Autism doesn’t look one way. It isn’t one story, one experience, or one path. It shows up differently in every child and every family. For some, it’s early diagnoses and therapy appointments. For some, it’s navigating school systems. For others, it’s celebrating hard-earned milestones that might look small to the outside world but feel enormous at home. And for many, it’s a mix of all of it at once.
This month is especially meaningful to us because our owner has spent years working alongside individuals with autism and other disabilities. Those experiences shaped her in lasting ways and instilled a deep belief in patience, dignity, advocacy, and most of all, acceptance. It’s something that continues to guide how we show up as a brand and as a community.
We know there are parents here who advocate fiercely, who research endlessly, who fight for resources, and who love deeply. We know there are siblings learning compassion in powerful ways. And we know there are individuals with autism in our community whose voices, experiences, and perspectives matter.
To us, this month isn’t just about awareness. It’s about acceptance. It’s about creating spaces where every child is included, every family feels supported, and every difference is respected and embraced.
As part of that, our upcoming Preorder 24 will include a new print, Minds of All Kinds, created to celebrate and support neurodiversity in a way that feels intentional and inclusive.
If autism is part of your story, we want you to know that you are seen here, supported here, and truly valued here.
With love,
